The Most Talked About Moments During Fashion Month SS23

From Bella Hadid’s spray on Coperni dress to Balenciaga’s muddy runways.

And just like that, Fashion Month Spring/Summer 2023 has come to an end. The past few weeks have been an absolute whirlwind, so we’ve decided to compile the most show-stopping moments from New York and London to Milan and Paris.

Coach‘s SS23 was the spot for celebrities as everyone from Coi Leray, Karrueche, Doja Cat and even Debby Ryan. As one of the most recognized faces in the industry, it should come as no surprise that supermodel Bella Hadid was all over the runways, but the Palestinian-Dutch beauty was everywhere, walking a whopping ten shows during PFW. Elsewhere, brands got creative as Botter used condoms as gloves and Balenciaga staged their presentation in a mud pit.

Fashion Month wasn’t without drama as Ye donned a “White Lives Matter” T-shirt at his YZY SZN 9 presentation, causing immediate backlash.

Continue scrolling to relive Fashion Month SS23’s most buzzworthy moments.

Coperni left us mesmerized as the French brand created a dress out of thin air — and paint for Hadid on stage during its SS23 show. Pushing fashion and our imaginations further than they have ever gone, Coperni certainly takes first place for most show-stopping Fashion Week moment.

Botter’s Condom Gloves

Protection is important and it seems Botter has found an inventive use for condoms as the brand filled the latex items with dyed water, continuing LFW’s quirkiness.

Balenciaga’s Mudslide Runway

Balenciaga followed suit in reconceptualizing runways as Demna transformed the catwalk into a mudslide for both Ye and Hadid to storm down.

Ye’s “White Lives Matter” T-shirt

Ye shocked and appalled during the YZY SZN 9 show as the rapper wore a “White Lives Matter” T-shirt, causing many from Gigi Hadid to Kendall Jenner to call out his bizarre and hurtful fashion choice.
