Balenciaga's Koala T-Shirt and Hoodie Will Support Australian Bushfire Relief
The brand builds on Kering’s $1 million AUD pledge.
Building on parent company Kering’s donation to Australian bushfire relief efforts, Balenciaga has created a charitable hoodie and T-shirt. 100 percent of the proceeds from the two items will go to local conservation organizations chosen by Kering’s team of sustainability experts.
The unisex hoodie and T-shirt are printed with a graphic of the now-vulnerable koala, the population of which has been so devastated by fires that the species may become endangered. Balenciaga is the latest to join a wide variety of brands and celebrities publicly aiding the cause including Rowing Blazers, Noah, Kylie Jenner and Lizzo.
Balenciaga’s koala T-shirt and hoodie will be available online, starting January 13. If you are looking to further support Australia’s bushfire relief, check out our list of 10 verified organizations to contribute to.
