Jorja Smith Is Back With a Soulful New Single, "Addicted"

The British singer releases a self-directed music video shot on webcam.

After sharing a number of teasers on her Instagram over the last week, Jorja Smith has officially unveiled her latest single “Addicted” with a music video directed by herself alongside filmmaker Savanah Leaf.

Following her 2020 releases “By Any Means” and “Come Over” featuring Popcaan, “Addicted” is an emotive ballad about “wanting the full attention of someone who’s not giving enough (or any) when they should be,” as the British singer-songwriter reveals in a press release. Shot on the webcam of her laptop, the lo-fi visual depicts Jorja dancing and lounging around by herself, with numerous outfit changes that include a white mesh bodysuit from Mugler and a bikini-and-trousers set by Swedish label Jade Cropper. “The video is multiple versions of me singing the song; having fun dressing up, not trying to be too serious and just giving myself more freedom,” Jorja says.

Watch the “Addicted” music video above and look out for more new music from Jorja Smith in coming months.
